About

Taylor Cushman, MD

Physician. Board-certified in Internal Medicine. I read the health research and explain it in plain words.

Taylor Cushman, MD, is board-certified in Internal Medicine and holds an MSc in Exercise and Wellness. He is the founder of Paragon Total Wellness in Scottsdale, Arizona, a physician-led membership practice. His work focuses on prevention: heart and metabolic risk, including ApoB and Lp(a), insulin resistance, body composition and exercise prescription.

I went into medicine wanting to help people stay well, not only treat them once they're sick. The system doesn't really allow for it. So I started sharing what I'd tell a friend: which numbers matter, what the research really says, and what to do next.

What I write about

The numbers worth knowing and the research behind them: blood pressure, cholesterol, bone and muscle, colds, and how to read a health headline. Every video page on this site has the full transcript and the studies behind each number. How I check facts is on the editorial policy page.
